PRIOR TO MSU
Compiled an impressive 94-6 overall record in four years at Ironton High School, including going 21-1 in 2007…Was undefeated at home in 2007, and was 89-2 in regular season matches over his four-year prep career…Was also a two-time sectional champion in 2004 and 2005 and was sectional runner-up in 2007…Made four district appearances and advanced to the state tournament in 2005 when he finished 12th…Was also named First-Team All-Southern Ohio Athletic League, including the Most Valuable Player award.
