MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Matt Cholod, Todd Fridline, Tyler Hillyer and Cody Kellam have signed National Letters of Intent with the Morehead State men's golf program.  All four student-athletes will be freshmen during the 2015-16 school year.

"We are very excited to welcome these four individuals to the Morehead State men's golf program," Head Coach Matthew Martin said.  "Matt, Todd, Tyler and Cody have enjoyed success on the high school and junior golf scenes.  They are quality people and talented golfers."

Cholod, a native of Courtice, Ontario, participated in the Ontario Men's Amateur Championship and claimed medalist honors in the Ontario Junior Boys Match Play Qualifier in 2014.  He was also medalist at the American Junior Golf Association's Randy Wise Qualifier last year.  A senior at Holy Trinity Catholic High School, Cholod represented Canada in the 2013 North American Cup and won the 2012 Midwestern Ontario Optimist Junior Golf Championship.

Fridline, a native of Mackinac Island, Mich., earned medalist honors at the 2014 Michigan High School Athletic Association State Championship.  A senior at Cranbrook High School, he placed in the state's top 25 as a sophomore and junior.  Fridline also tallied four top-20 performances at national events during the summer of 2014.

Hillyer, a native of Princeton, W.Va., finished second at the 2013 West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission State Championship.  A senior at Princeton High School, he earned AAA First-Team All-State accolades and Region 3 medalist honors in 2013.  Hillyer owns 19 career junior golf victories.

Kellam, a native of Crittenden, Ky., placed 10th at the 2014 Kentucky High School Athletic Association State Championship.  He was a Second-Team All-State choice after claiming medalist honors at two regular-season tournaments that same year.  Kellam helped the Grant County High School basketball team to a 2014 district championship.

"We like the direction our program is headed," Martin added.  "Matt, Todd, Tyler and Cody have a passion for golf and are committed to being successful at the Division I level.  All four have the potential to contribute for us right away."
