MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State volleyball program has announced the schedule for its summer camps. The program will offer a team camp, individual position camps, a challenge camp and also satellite camps.
The challenge camp is set for June 15, with registration to begin in MSU's Laughlin Gym at 9 a.m. ET. The challenge camp is a unique team camp experience which also focuses on fundamentals, positional drills and team concepts. The three-session format culminates in a tournament. Space is limited to the first 14 teams who register.
The individual position camps will take place on July 10 and July 14. The camps will utilize MSU's Wetherby Gym, Johnson Arena and Laughlin Gym. Registration is set for 9:15 a.m on the morning of a player's chosen day. The three-session camps will include individualized training and skill development for setters, hitters and defensive specialists.
MSU's team camp is set for July 11-13. Schools may register varsity and junior varsity teams. Each day's sessions will focus on team development, offensive and defensive systems and competitive matches.
The program also offers satellite camps. The MSU coaching staff and camp staff will travel to a location chosen by a team's coach and conduct a camp using input from the coach and what his or her team's needs are. There are several formats to choose from, including a one-day, two-session camp up to a three-day, six-session format. The MSU staff will work with the coach to design a camp format.
