MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Patrick St. Louis, who was a member of the Morehead State football coaching staff from 2009-11, has returned to the program and will once again serve as the offensive line coach.
St. Louis was a graduate assistant in 2009 and 2010, when he focused on the offensive line, tight ends and video operations. He was promoted to full-time in 2011 and coached the offensive line.
“It’s great to have Patrick back on the staff here at Morehead State,” Head Coach Rob Tenyer said. “Patrick is a quality coach and terrific person. Everyone associated with our program will enjoy being around him. He’s also familiar with the university and athletic department, which is very helpful.”
Between stints at Morehead State, St. Louis coached offensive linemen, coordinated travel, oversaw the budget and handled administrative tasks at Division III school Olivet College (Mich.).
During the 2011 campaign, Morehead State ranked first in the Football Championship Subdivision in first downs (25.2), second in total yards (478.9) and second in passing yards (358.2).
St. Louis coached two All-Pioneer Football League performers on the offensive line during his full-time year and the Eagles collected 27 team, individual, school and conference records.
“Patrick was on the staff in 2011 when we changed our offense and improved significantly,” Tenyer said. “That team led the PFL in several offensive categories and established multiple school records. The linemen he coached were a big part of what we accomplished that season.”
St. Louis spent the 2008 campaign as a student assistant at Division II school Missouri Western State. He earned four letters as a lineman at Missouri Western State from 2004-07.
A native of Belton, Mo., St. Louis earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education from MWSU in 2008 and a master’s degree in secondary education from MSU in 2010.
He and wife, Chastity, were married in 2012.
