Duzan Tabbed to FCS Academic All-Star Team

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State senior kicker/punter Rainer Duzan has been named to the Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) Academic All-Star Team for the 2012 season.

In 44 collegiate games, Duzan set Morehead State career records for points by a kicker (258), field goals (36) and extra points (150).

Duzan connected on 6-of-8 field-goal attempts and 54-of-57 extra-point tries this past season en route to a team-leading 72 points.

Duzan also averaged 38.1 yards on 35 punts.  His long boot was 58 yards and eight of his punts pinned the opponent inside the 20-yard line.

Duzan is a five-time member of the Morehead State Dean’s List, three-time Academic All-Pioneer Football League selection and two-time all-league choice.

A native of Dublin, Ohio, Duzan carries a 3.54 grade point average as an accounting major.  He was among 54 winners selected from a group of 98 nominees.

Football players from all FCS institutions are eligible for this prestigious award.  Nominees are required to have a minimum GPA of 3.2 and each individual must have legitimate athletic credentials.
