MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State junior kicker
Rainer Duzan, a First-Team All-Pioneer Football League selection last season, has been named on the College Football Performance Awards Preseason Placekicker Watch List.
Duzan, a native of Dublin, Ohio, had one of the top seasons in school history for a placekicker in 2010 when he was a perfect 26-of-26 on PATs. He also led the league in field goal percentage, nailing 11 of his 13 kicks. Duzan also earned PFL Special Teams Player of the Week twice.
Handling nearly 100 percent of the punting duties as well, Duzan averaged 38.4 yeards per boot and landed 18 inside the 20-yard line. He had five kicks of more than 50 yards, including a 64-yard smash.
He was named to the PFL Honor Roll and was tabbed Second-Team PFL All-Academic.
The College Football Performance Awards' had 40 players listed on the preseason watch list for kickers. The CFPA's also have watch lists for all other positions and award weekly and postseason positional honors during the season.
