ATLANTA, Ga. –
Morehead State’s volleyball team made sure it would come home from the Georgia State Invitational with an plus-.500 record. The Eagles finished the event Saturday night with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-17) victory over the North Florida Ospreys. Senior Holly Evans and junior Liz Schuler were named to the All-Tournament Team.

The Eagles are now 2-1, while UNF fell to 0-3.

“I think we really improved over the course of the three matches this weekend, but we also know we have a lot of work to do this week. I am looking forward to getting home and back in the gym because the competition will get much tougher next weekend,” said coach Jaime Gordon.

MSU went through the final set much the same way it did the first two. The Eagles built a double digit lead and held on to keep the Ospreys at bay. MSU hit higher than .300 with 12 kills.
