FLORENCE, Ariz.—Morehead State women’s golf finished tied for 17th place at the Northern Migration Invitational. The Eagles shot a 962 (316-321-325) at the event, which concluded Wednesday, was played at Poston Butte Golf Club.
MSU tied Texas A&M Corpus Christi for 17th in the 19-team field.
Emma Jonsson was the Eagles’ top finisher, shooting a 228 (78-74-76) to tie for 21st overall.
Paige Lausier had her best round on day three, shooting a 238 (82-79-77) to tie for 61st.
Marisa Kamelgarn tied for 88th overall with a 246 (77-81-88) and
Emma Eksell carded a 255 (79-87-89) to place 102nd.
Darlene Bognot’s 259 (85-90-84) rounded out the Eagle scoring and placed 104th.
Ashley Redmond, who played as an individual, shot a 256 (84-81-91) to finish 103rd overall.
Texas San Antonio won the event with an 895 (298-296-301), placing two players in the top five. Idaho’s Kayla Mortellaro took medalist honors with a 211 (68-70-73).
The Eagles’ next event is the Ocala Spring Collegiate, which MSU will host. That tournament begins April 2.
