MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State athletics has entered into an agreement with Wazoo Sports Television to broadcast 13 Eagle home athletic events during the 2009-10 season MSU Athletic Director Brian Hutchinson announced Tuesday.

“This agreement allows us to showcase our programs and our student-athletes across the Commonwealth of Kentucky,” Hutchinson said. “Our alumni, fans and family of our student-athletes will have opportunities to watch Eagle athletics on television. This is a major part of our efforts to increase our visibility, both statewide and regionally.”

The schedule includes 10 basketball games, one football game, and baseball and softball games. The basketball lineup has several marquee matchups, from Kentucky and OVC Rival Eastern Kentucky for the women’s basketball team, to EKU and OVC co-preseason favorite Murray State for the men’s basketball teams. The November portion of the agreement was completed as a successful test of the partnership and included the first television football game from Jayne Stadium in recent years.

“We are thrilled about our relationship with Morehead State University and even more excited about the unprecedented exposure we can help bring to the athletics department as a whole and to the student athletes specifically ,” says Doc Carpenter, President of Wazoo Sports, Inc. “It is an exciting relationship and we are looking forward to seeing how it develops and matures. We are very pleased to be working with Morehead State.”
