BRENTWOOD, Tenn.— Morehead State freshman
Marisa Kamelgarn, who took medalist honors at the Cincinnati Fall Classic, earned her second consecutive Ohio Valley Conference Golfer of the Week award.
A native of Mahopac, N.Y., Kamelgarn earned the league award for the second week in a row with rounds of 75-78-70 to finish at 223 (+7) and edge Murray State's Joyce Trus by a single stroke. Her performance helped the Eagles tie the host Bearcats in the top position (UC was named champion by virtue of a prescribed tiebreaker). It was the first college medalist honors for Kamelgarn who leads the OVC with a 74.6 stroke average this fall.
The Eagles will next play at the F&M Bank Intercollegiate on Oct. 19-20 in Clarksville, Tenn.
