Women's Tennis Completes Action at Aces Fall Classic

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Morehead State women's tennis team compiled seven wins last weekend at the Evansville Aces Fall Classic. Freshman Brooke Helms led MSU with two singles victories and a doubles win.

In flight four singles, Helms opened by defeating Western Kentucky's Jessi Brown 6-1, 6-0. She returned later in the day to knock off Eastern Kentucky's Alyze Pagal 6-4, 6-3. Helms also teamed up with Alix Lakow to win a flight A doubles match over Carrie Tru and Leanne Caplinger of WKU, 8-3.

Also winning a doubles match in flight A was the MSU pair of Madeleinne Antero and Lauren Delaney. They knocked off Purple Ace duo Aleksandra Dzakula/Ashton Schwerin, 8-3.

Antero also claimed a singles win in flight one, beating True 6-2, 6-2. Alexandra Rydberg also participated.
