SANDY, Utah – Former Eagle standout Josh Teater fired an opening round 65, placing him fourth on the leader board at the Nationwide Tour’s Utah Championship. Teater tallied seven birdies on the round, while only having one bogey.

A native of Lexington, Ky., Teater helped the Eagles claim the 1999 OVC Men’s Golf Championship with an All-Tournament performance. Teater turned pro after finishing his MSU career in 2001. He is having his best pro season in 2009, having made 12 cuts, finishing in the top 25 seven times and the top 10 twice. He ranks 21st on the Nationwide Tour money list with $139,200 in 20 events played.
