MOREHEAD, Ky. - Garrett Plooy, a native of Medford, Wis., has signed a national letter of intent to join the Morehead State rifle program for the 2009-10 season. Head coach Walt Rybka announced Plooy's addition this week.
An honor student interested in construction management, Plooy went to Northland Lutheran High School and also Medford High School.
Plooy placed first or second at six events in his junior shooting career and averaged 512 in three-position for his career and averaged 530 during his senior year. He shot for the MRC Junior Team.
He also lettered in baseball and soccer in high school.
