MOREHEAD, Ky. - Kayla Tuscany, a native of Miamisburg, Ohio, and a player who has been ranked in the top 75 in the TennisRPI rankings in her career, has signed a national letter of intent to join the Morehead State women's tennis program.

"We are extremely excited about Kayla joining our program. She is a difference maker and is a player who makes others around her better," said MSU head coach Kevin Fulton. "We look for her to come in and play high in the lineup and help us towards our goal of winning the OVC championship next year."

Tuscany, who is listed as a four-star recruit by TennisRecruiting.Net, was rated as the 58th-best player on the junior tennis circuit during the 2008 season. She has been ranked as high as the sixth-best player in Ohio as well and the 31st-rated player in the Great Lakes Region.

In 2007, Tuscany finished fourth at the Ohio state tournament for Miamisburg High School. That year, she was the sectional and district champion. Tuscany was also named First-Team All-Area in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and was the GWOC champion those seasons as well.
