MOREHEAD, Ky. - The Morehead State women's basketbal team hosts the University of Kentucky on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. at Johnson Arena. It will mark the first meeting between the two in-state schools since 1994-95 and the first visit by a UK women's basketball team to Morehead since 1990-91.

Morehead State is looking to claim its first win of the season after a 67-64 setback at SIU Edwardsville on Friday. Chynna Bozeman led MSU with 13 points and eight rebounds, while freshman Ashar Harris had a double-double in her first collegiate game - 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Kentucky has started 2-0 under former MSU head coach Matthew Mitchell. The 'Cats are led by senior forward Victoria Dunlap who averages 28.5 points and 15.0 rebounds. Mitchell led the Eagle program in 2005-06 and 2006-07, posting a 30-29 record, before heading back to Lexington for his first head coaching assignment.

The Eagles trail in the all-time series 27-5, and the series dates back to the 1970-71 season. MSU's last win in the series came on Jan. 3, 1989 - a 74-70 triumph in Morehead.

Women's Tennis
Junior women's tennis player Brooke Helms went undefeated in singles action over the weekend, as she tallied two individual match wins. 

Helms clinched the come-from-behind 4-3 victory over Big East power West Virginia, a 7-5, 2-6, 6-4 at number five singles.  Helms then was only one of two Eagle netters to score a win in a 5-2 loss at Duquesne , winning 6-3, 6-4 at number five.

Men's Basketball
Men's Basketball senior Ty Proffitt recorded a team-high 18 points on 5-of-6 from the field, 4-of-5 from three-point range and 4-of-4 from the free-throw line in Tuesday’s 75-69 victory over Norfolk State. 

He then registered a season-best 20 points on 6-of-10 from the floor, 4-of-7 from long range and 4-of-4 from the charity stripe in Saturday’s 56-50 win over Tennessee Tech. 

The guard, who hails from London, Ky., connected on 69 percent from the field (11-of-16) and 67 percent from downtown (8-of-12) in addition to making all eight free-throw attempts.  He also committed just four turnovers in 65 minutes last week.

Proffitt was also named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week for his performances this past week.
