RICHMOND, Ky. - Morehead State's softball team broke out the big bats Sunday. The Eagles finished their fall ball season at 7-1 with wins over Georgetown College, Midway College and Northern Kentucky at EKU.
The Eagles opened with a 6-0 blanking of Georgetown. Senior pitcher Alex Gjevre went the distance to pick up the shutout.
MSU then throttled Midway 16-1 in five innings before finishing with a convincing 8-1 win over NKU. Gjevre returned to the circle along with with Elizabeth Wagner.
The Eagles have two more events scheduled this fall. There will be an intrasquad scrimmage on Oct. 17 and an alumni weekend game on Oct. 25.
