MSU Alum Josh Teater Earns PGA Tour Card
Teater
Charleston, S.C. - Former Morehead State golf standout Josh Teater was one of 25 Nationwide Tour players who earned a 2010 PGA Tour Card this weekend. Teater finished seventh among the top 25 money winners during the Nationwide events in 2009 as the top 25 all earn PGA Tour cards for 2010.

"What can I say that hasn't already been said. This Tour is just like the PGA TOUR in terms of great golf courses and amazing talent," Teater said. "The only difference I can see is the prize money. I firmly believe that there is no other tour in the World that can prepare you for the PGA TOUR the way the Nationwide Tour does."

This weekend, he finished in a tie for third at the Nationwide Tour Championship at the Ralston Creek Course at the Daniel Island Club.

Teater fired a two-under final round of 70 Sunday. He carded rounds of 69, 67, and 69 in the first three rounds of the tournament.

He has played in one PGA Tour event in his professional career - the 2005 Deutsche Bank Championship where he missed the cut.
