Women's Golf-Pink
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.—The Morehead State women’s golf team is in first place and freshman Marisa Kamelgarn is tied for first following the opening round of the F&M Bank Austin Peay Intercollegiate. The event was played at the par 72, 5,960-yard Clarksville Country Club.

In support of breast cancer awareness month and the fight against breast cancer, the Eagles swapped out their blue and gold uniform polos for all pink.

Four of the five Eagle golfers were in the top 20, starting with Kamelgarn, who shot a 75 in the first round to tie Murray State's Andrea Downer. Junior Paige Lausier's 79 was good enough to tie her for 11th overall.

MSU's two Emmas tied for 18th overall. Sophomores Emma Eskell and Emma Jonsson each carded an 81. Senior Darlene Bognot tied for 23rd with an 82 to round out the Morehead golfers.

The Eagles also had two golfers, junior Lynn Grunkemeyer and sophomore Janelle Galloway, competing as individuals. Grunkemeyer scored an 85 to tie for 44th overall and Galloway shot an 87 to tie for 57th overall.

Tennessee Tech (fourth-323), Murray State (fifth-324), Eastern Illinois (eighth-331), Eastern Kentucky (10th-333), host Austin Peay (two teams: red: 11th-335; APSU: 12th-338), SIU-Edwardsville (14th-349) and Tennessee State (17th-404) were the other Ohio Valley Conference teams at the event.

The second and final round begins Tuesday with a 9:30 a.m. ET shotgun start.
