Meisner
MOREHEAD, Ky. – After recording her fourth shutout of the season after a 0-0 draw with Eastern Kentucky, Morehead State junior goalkeeper Lily Meisner has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, the league announced today.

Meisner played all 110 minutes of the double-overtime contest against the Colonels and tallied seven saves. It was her second consecutive shutout, after also blanking Tennessee Tech in another 0-0 tie on October 4. Meisner’s four clean sheets rank her in a tie for the OVC lead heading into this weekend’s set of games.

Meisner is now tied for first on the Morehead State career shutout list with 10. She also ranks fourth in career saves. Meisner also became the all-time leader in wins at MSU when she picked up her tenth career win in a 2-1 decision over Jacksonville State on October 2.

The Eagles have a pivotal weekend of OVC play ahead of them as they travel to take on Murray State Friday and UT Martin Sunday. Both opponents enter the weekend with nine points in the OVC standings, one point ahead of Morehead State’s eight. Gametime for Friday’s match at Murray State is 4 p.m. while kickoff for Sunday’s match at UT-Martin is 2 p.m.
