Billy Poe

Billy Poe played football for Morehead State from 1983-86. He is regarded as one of the finest offensive lineman to ever wear the Eagle uniform. He lettered all four years and was named an All-American in 1986.

Poe was named to the Sporting News Preseason All-American team one two separate occasions. He also was an All-Ohio Valley Conference selection twice during his playing career at MSU.

Poe attended Rock Hill High School in Ironton, Ohio, where he was all-state, all-conference, and the team’s most valuable player. He also lettered in basketball and track.

After his playing days at MSU, Poe went on to spend one season in the National Football League (NFL) for the Cincinnati Bengals. Following his season with the Bengals he found a spot in the Arena Football League and played a few seasons with a couple different teams.
